Guest Speaker Patrick Ziegler
“Living In The Now”
Patrick is an Emmy® Award and Telly Award winning producer for his work on “Come On Over!” and co-creator, director, producer and writer of “Backstage Drama”.
He as Executive Producer with Enthusiastic Productions, producing the Children’s Television show “Come On Over!”, “Noodle and Doodle” for NBC Universal Sprout and a children’s music animation pilot “Music AL”, with Four Boys Entertainment (Patricia Heaton and David Hunt.)
In 2010 he formed Fubble Entertainment with my Enthusiastic Productions producing partner Teresa Thome. They served as Creative Executive Producers for LaughFest where we wrote and produced the creative portion of “An Evening with Betty White”, “aLive from Grand Rapids, It’s Saturday Night”, with Martin Short, Alan Zweibel and Kevin Nealon. As well as worked with in subsequent years, Wayne Brady, Jonathan Mangum, Jay Leno and a host of other A-List comedians.
Early 2012, Fubble began distributing its first property “Backstage Drama”, an episodic web series that, in addition to being a for-profit venture for the company, also raises funds for community theaters. The series has earned an Emmy®, a Telly and an Eclipse Award. Fubble served as Executive Producers on an animated pilot featuring (and in partnership with) the late great Joan Rivers. “Fashionista and Glamour Girl.” Fubble produced and wrote a TV pilot, “I’ve Got a Life in Kalamazoo” (showcased in a staged reading at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago, with partners MBC, Me-TV, WCIU) The series features Ed Asner, Marion Ross, Vicki Lewis, Gregory Jbara and Patrick.
In December 2014, Fubble produced and hosted a television holiday special, “Holiday Memories of Grand Rapids” airing on both an NBC and ABC affiliate in West Michigan, as well as WKTV. We earned an Eclipse Award for our efforts. Fubble currently holds in development a holiday movies, “The Santa Hat”. In December 2020 Fubble assembled a stellar cast including Emmy & Golden Globe Winner Ed Asner, Emmy Award Winner Lucie Arnaz, Tony Award Winner Levi Kreis and a host of other national, regional and local (to Grand Rapids, Michigan) to present “The Santa Hat” as a fundraiser exclusively on Broadway on Demand. All proceeds from this event were divided equally and donated to: The Ed Asner Family Center, The Grand Rapids Combined Theatre Scholarship Fund housed at the Grand Rapids Community Foundation , The Actors Fund and Gilda’s Club Grand Rapids. Prior to his work with Enthusiastic Productions and Fubble Entertainment he studied Theatre and Communications at Western Michigan University and trained at the National Shakespeare Conservatory in New York City. He then went on to work at the New York Joseph Papp Theatre, Shakespeare in the Park and the Roundabout Theatre. His first television production work was with the Emmy® Winning production house Wunderfilm Design and helped produce main titles for “The Jamie Foxx Show”, “Cable Guy” and “The Wayan Brothers.” He founded, performed and directed the HBO Comedy Festival finalist comedy troupe “The Hollywood Players” after his training at the famed The Groundlings Improv in Los Angeles. With his vast background in Theatre, he was honored to produce and direct the “I Love Lucy 50th Anniversary Stage Show” with CBS, Lucyfan Enterprises and the over seeing of Desilu, too, LLC.
Patrick is has facilitated “The Artist’s Way” for over 10 years to hundreds of people. He also teaches acting classes and has created an Improv and Power of Now utilizing his extensive background in improv and infusing the tools of the book “Power Of Now.”
Patrick has been honored by Western Michigan University with being inducted into the distinguished Outstanding Alumni Academy as well as the Hall Of Fame for his high school, Godfrey-Lee Schools. He splits his time between West Michigan and Los Angeles.
